Churchill Rugs and Carpets has been a part of the Montclair community since 1948. The original Churchill began selling carpet out of a stall in Newark in the earlier part of the 1900s.  By 1950, the family business had expanded to at least three locations in Northern New Jersey.  Then in 1994, after being with Churchill for almost 30 years, Mark and Jileen Friedman became the owners and operators of the Montclair store.

As a full-service dealer, Churchill offers a full line of flooring products in addition to carpets and rugs, including vinyl and laminate flooring and a selection of hardwood.  Churchill also offers carpet remnants for the discerning customer who wants exceptional value and quick, in-stock service.

What makes Churchill Rugs and Carpets unique is the family atmosphere you experience when you walk through their door. The sales staff, all with Churchill an average of 20 years, greets you by name, having often served their customers for generations. The professional staff of installers has been with them for over 15 years each.  All are CRI & GFI certified, as well as having received special training and certification on the installation of Karastan Carpets.
